The first new Toyota LandCruiser in 14 years has begun trickling into Australia and the new-generation 300 Series brings wholesale change inside, outside and underneath.
Riding on a new TNGA-F ladder frame and powered by Toyota’s first diesel V6 (a twin-turbo 3.3-litre job to replace the 200 Series’ 4.5-litre diesel V8), the new LandCruiser also brings a fresh design and upgraded technologies including safety.
It’s also lighter and more efficient, despite being around the samesize as the 200 Series, and brings improved capability both off road and on. Here, Sam Charlwood puts the brand-new Toyota LandCruiser GR Sport to the test.
