Gibson did a lot of really cool guitars in the mid-2000s that I don't think they get enough credit for. Guitars such as the Goddess / Vixen Series, Vegas Standard / High Roller, Zoot Suits and especially the Guitar of the Week series.
The GOTW program brought out many of cool guitars. Of this series, the p90 Black Custom and the 3 Humbucker Black Custom has to be my favorite. The Zebrawoods and other customs are fun novelty guitars as well, but these two black customs just nail the look of much more expensive guitars for half the price. These are excellent guitars.
I really wanted to put a Bigsby on this guitar. There is something so amazing looking about a 3 pickup Black Custom with a Gold Bigsby. There is just so much blingage!
This guitar gave me a huge surprise when I looked at it under blacklight. Usually on clean looking guitars, I don't blacklight them until I film - and wow - I didn't see this one coming. Not a break, crack or repair - but interesting finish discoloration likely caused by a sticker. This guitar has a moon on the back of it!
