How To Paint Like Gerhard Richter

Widely recognized as “the world’s greatest living artist” German painter Gerhard Richter is a model of productive and disciplined creativity. Having now watched the documentary “Gerhard Richter Painting” 2–3 times a month for the last year, MVA Studio founder and Minneapolis College of Art & Design teacher Joshua Namdev Hardisty explains why you should outsource your laundry, stop listening to Mozart, ignore all opinions and what can be gleaned from Waterworld. Presented as part of the MCAD’s 2014 Faculty Biennial.
