Sound check on the headers I made for a 5.3 LS Swap E36
That was 5900rpm
I put them together not caring too much about exact lengths , or being pretty , I just wanted to get the idea created and then I can improve on it.  I just eyeballed the lengths and I know I'm a few inches off on some.  That means they're going to get more refined and flat plane crank sounding when I decide to correct that.  This is the 3rd revision that I've done in the past month or two , trying to make them sound good/different , fit , be removable without pulling the motor , be simple / lightweight , not block the spark plugs , not bump up against any metal and trigger the knock sensors, not melt anything important , gain power as much as possible ,  be equal length and around 32".

If you look up tri-y headers you'll get a pretty good idea of what these look like , except that I've combined different cylinders than tri-y's do and I made each header 2 pieces, top and bottom, that slip fit together.  For an LS firing order of 18726543 and the numbering of 1-3-5-7 on the drivers side and 2-4-6-8 on the pass side , I combined 1-7  and 3-5 , those two collectors then combine into one and basically the same on the other side 2-8 and 4-6 and then into one collector.  THen i Y-piped those into a single 3" which meets a magnaflow cylindrical straight-through muffler and then on out the back.  I chose that combination of cylinders because that's how they get paired in 180 degree headers which would have the 4-6 and 3-5 crossing over to the other bank's collector.
