A little bit of two-part solid gold from the Vintage series; we chase D&H-Guilford train BUEB from Lancaster, NY to east of Dalton, NY on Conrail's Southern Tier line.

What a selection of power! In the lead is BM U30C no. 640, built as Detroit Edison no. 12 and BM U30C no. 653 (nee-N&W). The REAL treat is the pushers! Bringing up the markers right out of Buffalo for the march up Attica Hill is D&H Bicentennial 'clubfoot' RS3u no. 506 and RS36 5015, both Schenectady products, and both of whose ALCO 251 prime movers are giving it all they've got in run-8.

SUBSCRIBE TODAY AND NEVER MISS A VINTAGE CLASSIC!

TIMELINE:
0:00: Initial shot of BUEB, east of Lancaster
1:30: Pacing the ALCO pushers, wide open.
1:58: BUEB takes the hole at Alden to await her westbound counterpart, EBBU, with Boston & Maine geeps hot at the helm.
3:16: BUEB and her smoky pushers leave Alden and dig back into the Niagara Escarpment grade
4:52: The absolute GRIND up Attica Hill, handled ably by the mixed bag of heavy American machinery!
7:12 BUEB is rolling hot, still with her pushers on the tail, at CP Rock Glen, Rock Glen, NY.

Don't miss Part II of this video, also available now, where the Bicentennial engine takes the lead at Silver Springs!
