This video was made during a 3-night four-day hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with Liz Kidder (YouTube: "Liz Kidder"). Liz did a video with a daily account of what we did, so look there for a more typical trail video. Here’s the link: https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/wItaW8UG9-0 I decided instead to discuss the problem of bear attacks in the Smoky Mountains. I didn't solve the riddle, so feel free to join the discussion in the comments. Our trip itinerary: We parked at the Noland Creek Trailhead near Bryson City, NC. We camped in Campsite 64, Campsite 68B, and Campsite 65. Our route was as follows: Noland Creek Trail to Campsite 64; Springhouse Branch Trail, Forney Ridge Trail; Clingmans Dome Trail (paved); Appalachian Trail; Clingmans Dome By-Pass Trail (or something like that); Forney Ridge Trail; Forney Creek Trail to Campsite 68B; Forney Creek Trail, Whiteoak Bridge Trail; Lakeshore Trail; the Road to Nowhere and its tunnel; back to the Noland Creek Trail (completing a giant loop) and north to Campsite 65; on the final day, south on the Noland Creek Trail to the Noland Creek Trailhead. ***WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT BACKPACKING*** http://www.evanschaeffer.com/ ***CAMERA EQUIPMENT AND EDITING SOFTWARE**** Filmed with a Canon G7 X Mark II and edited on my iPhone with Luma Fusion. ***MUSIC*** The music is this video was produced by me, Evan Schaeffer.
