Acting East Cleveland Police Chief
Acting East Cleveland Police Chief Ken Lundy is scheduled to hold a press conference this afternoon with an update on the investigation into the multiple shootings that took place over Labor Day weekend.
The three separate shootings took place amid the celebration of the Shaw High School all-class reunion in the early morning hours of Sept. 2.
Two of the incidents happened on Euclid Avenue, including one near the school, while the third occurred on Elwood Road about a half-mile away. At least six people were shot, including one fatal victim identified as 23-year-old Erin Strozier.
"We are still currently investigating this unfortunate incident," East Cleveland Detective Commander Joseph Marche told 3News two days after the shootings. "Interviews are still being conducted, video footage is still being obtained, and we're still working on identifying persons of interest."
