Professor Choi Jun-sik is a renowned scholar who specializes in Religious Studies. He studied at Temple University in the United States, and since 1992, he has been a professor at the Graduate School of International Studies, Ewha Womans University. In the mid-1990s, he founded the International Association for Korean Studies, and ten years ago, he also established the 'K-Culture Center,' a multicultural space that focuses on Korean culture, with the aim of promoting Korean culture. Today, Professor Choi is known as a cultural ambassador for Korea.

He cautions against adhering blindly to existing beliefs. Unlike scholars of religious studies or theology who often disregard shamanism out of fear of pressure from established powers, he argues that shamanism, which represents the fundamental temperament of Koreans through 'Shin-gi(shamanistic spirits),' should be recognized as such. Instead of using the term ""mu-sok"" which intentionally denigrates shamanism, he prefers to use the term ""mu-kyo(shamanic religion).""

Professor Choi believes that two distinctive characteristics of Koreans are their 'Moon-gi(Literary Spirit)' which is based on Confucian humanistic culture, and their 'Sin-gi(Shamanistic Spirit).' Through books such as ""Moon-gi -and ""Sin-gi,"" and ""Make the world overflowing with energy,"" he has been pointing out the roots of the Korean Wave's power.

Professor Choi Joon-sik has shed light on the remarkable political system of the Joseon Dynasty, which has been relatively unknown. The fact that Korea's cultural heritage listed by UNESCO is ranked fourth globally and ranked first among Asian countries is evidence of its significance.
