Have you ever heard of the term Algo Trading in Share Market.
Algo means Algorithmic or Automatic
Algorithm is a Specific set of defined instructions aimed to carry out a task.
So the definition of Algo or Algorithmic trading is -
When a person does not trade himself in front of a computer, and the algorithm or computer program keeps on trading on its own using defined set of instructions then it is called algo trading.
Based on by & sell signals received from the program, the orders are placed and executed.

Omneys - NEST
Presto - ATS
NSEIT - AlgoNomics
Algo trading has many advantages too..
The biggest advantage is that if a person will sit and trade, then he will be afraid, whether I should trade or not, should I book a profit? Many similar emotions will come. But the computer has no emotions so trades are accurate.
A normal person is unable to concentrate on more than 2–3 trades at a time. Experienced traders can watch 4–5 trades simultaneously. But, Algo trading platforms can take 50 trades altogether without any problem. The computer is taking care of the stop loss, exit point, entry point of your trade.
