In Old School RuneScape (OSRS), Smithing is a skill that allows you to create various metal items, such as weapons, armor, and tools. To level up your Smithing skill efficiently from 1 to 99, you can follow this guide. Keep in mind that this guide focuses on the fastest and most cost-effective methods.

Levels 1-29: Training with Bronze/Iron Bars

Levels 1-15: Create Bronze Bars by smelting 1 Tin Ore and 1 Copper Ore together. Make Bronze items like Bronze Daggers or Bronze Swords for experience.

Levels 15-29: Switch to Iron Bars by smelting 1 Iron Ore with 2 Coal. Create Iron items such as Iron Knives or Iron Swords for better experience rates.

Levels 29-99: The Blast Furnace Method

From level 29 onwards, you can use the Blast Furnace for more efficient Smithing training. This method allows for faster experience and the ability to make money as well.

Requirements:

A Hammer
Ice Gloves (to handle bars)
Weight-reducing gear (e.g., Graceful Outfit)
Optional: a Coal Bag (to hold more coal)
Materials:

Iron Bars (preferred): Buy them or make them from Iron Ore using the Blast Furnace.
Alternatively, if you want to make money, you can make Gold Bars. Goldsmith Gauntlets (from the Family Crest quest) help here.
Training Method:

Fill your inventory with Iron Bars (or Gold Bars if you want to profit).
Use the Blast Furnace conveyor belt to deposit your bars.
Pay the Blast Furnace workers to smelt your bars, which is faster than doing it yourself.
Withdraw the smelted bars and use the Anvil to create the desired items. Focus on items that offer the best XP-to-bar ratio, such as Platebodies or Dart Tips.
Experience Boosters:

Consider using the Blast Furnace official world (358) for faster operations.
You can also use the Smithing cape perk or an Experience Lamp if available.
Additional Tips:

Always have ice gloves equipped or in your inventory when using the Blast Furnace to avoid taking damage when handling bars.
For extra efficiency, you can use a Rune Pouch with the "Superheat Item" spell to automatically cast it while smithing, which saves you time and runes.
You can switch to other metals like Mithril, Adamant, or Rune as you level up and can afford the materials.
Keep in mind that Smithing in OSRS can be expensive, so it's a good idea to check the current market prices and make sure your chosen method aligns with your budget. Also, remember that patience is key when training this skill to level 99, as it can take a considerable amount of time.
