We show you how to get an Act 3 legendary sword in Act 1 with as low as a level 3 character. The legendary two-handed Silver Sword of the Astral Plane can be disarmed from Githyanki dragon rider, Kith'rak Voss. This OP, end-game weapon can be stolen in Act 1 if you watch for all our tested and retested tips. We show you the location of the Githyanki Patrol at the Mountain Pass fort near to the Wakeen's Rest fast travel. This is nothwest of the Blighted Village. We show you two methods a) using a hireling (not La'ezel) and b) with at least two party members including La'ezel. Method a) is recommended for level 3 characters. Lvl 4 and higher groups can do method b). Both methods require a fighter with a battle master specialty and the level 3 feat "disarming attack". Use Withers to respec your existing character or create a new one with these skills. You keep the sword even if the person picking up dies and is resurrected by Withers. La'ezel can only do ranged attacks with a helper to get the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane.
We talk about the story implications of stealing this sword meant for act 3 in act 1. If you want it in act 1 or 2, then you need to steal it before visiting Githyanki's Cheche Y'llek in the Mountain Pass map area under the monastery. If Voss visits in your companion's camp he will not be wielding the sword. He will have the less powerful purple Voss' Silver Sword which is not as good as the Everburn Blade in the prologue. The Crech Y'llek captain also drops a better sword than Voss' Silver Sword (which is different than the sword he has at the Mountain Pass fort, the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane). The Silver Sword of the Astral Plane is the best weapon for La'ezel who gets the extra 1d6 psionic damage on top of the 2d6 +7 slashing damage for a 10-25 hit power in her hands.
