Airforce Hand dryer performance test

The Airforce hand dryer is one of the UK's most popular hand dryers. We tested the performance by immersing the hands in water, shaking 3 times in a controlled manner and then performing a mositure test after 10/15 and 20 second interval tests. Although the majority of the moisture is removed in the first stages, moisture still remains after 20 seconds. An issue we have noticed with the multi-jet airflow used by the Airforce is that moisture is blown in random directions making the process inconsistent and not as effective as a single row of air jets used in blade hand dryers and some 'hands under' high speed hand dryers. Drying hands thoroughly is important to prevent bacteria carrying pathogens.
