► The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy is one of the world’s most popular tourist sites and an architectural oddity. The construction of the tower began in 1173 and eventually completed in 1399.
Tower of Pisa stands at around 60 metres tall and until 1990 was leaning at about a 10 degree angle. The Tower of Pisa was closed between 1990 and 2001, during which time soil was removed from underneath it, returning it to a safer degree of leaning, currently of about 3.99 degrees.
Millions of people flock to see the tower each year, and their number-one goal is to use the power of forced perspective to take some seriously funny photos.
