This is the main paper I looked at for studies on Oils:

Which makes a good case that they work, but most of the supporting links go to very small studies/studies on animals or studies on the components (like FFAs or vitamins used alone rather than in topically applied oils…) I’ll link resources as many as I can here but YouTube limits the info box.
