The 91-day Treasury Bill rates have dropped to single digit figures with a weighted average of 9.65% from, 13.765 in the previous auction and more than 20% just weeks ago. This, by extension, is expected to see the easing of interest rates as they are partly determined by the T-bill rates. The government had sought 6 billion shillings in the market, received bids of 22.84 billion, and only accepted 8.37 billion shillings worth of the same.
