Is your Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4 having boot issues? Does it turn off and on again and again? Is it unable to be turned on at all? These issues may be caused by the power switch. Continue reading along...

My own very phone became a mess of boot-loops and random shut downs. I realized it was the power switch causing this issue. I did a lot of research and figured out a clever method to fix it. Thus, I believe this tutorial will definitely fix your phone if it is only the power switch that is causing issues.

However!!! Bootloops or being stuck in the boot screen can also be caused by your software! How? If you recently updated your phone or installed custom roms and noticed bootloops right after, your phone may be bootlooping due to software issues, thus, this video will not help. This video is mainly for the hardware issue from a faulty power switch (which for most of you is the case).
Refer to this if you think your phone is bootlooping due to software:

(Unless you recently updated your phone or installed custom roms, this should not be you).

The main idea of this tutorial is to remove your power switch so that it will no longer cause your phone to turn on and turn off constantly (assuming the power switch caused that issue). The power switch can cause this because the innards parts of the switch have become defected, making it in an always pressed state or un-pressed state regardless of whether or not you are pressing on the switch. Thus, boot loops, no boot, or random shut downs can result.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
After the successful completion of this video, your phone will no longer have a power button. Instead, you will turn on your phone with a method involving your charger (thus you will ONLY be able to turn on your phone with your charger or USB cable connected to a power source e.g. laptop/external battery/battery phone case). You will also be unlocking your phone with your home key and you will be locking your phone with a 3rd party app (that I will show you in the video).

Thus, this video is geared for those who desperately need a working phone, but understand that there will be functions lost in the process. More importantly however, you will be able to use your phone again. This video is meant to be a quick, easy and free way to fix your phone (without any special tools or knowledge in phone repair).

Android Users that Root their Phones:
Be aware that you will no longer be able to access the recovery menu using the button combo. How would you access it then? You can use apps like QuickBoot. or use this method: http://goo.gl/kbVRf3
