The Month of Rajab

This Friday Khutba (sermon) by Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips discusses the sacred month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar, and the various bi'da (innovations) that are being practiced in this month, like Salat Al-Raghaib, Salatul Ummi Dawood, the Prophet Muhammad's birth on the 1st of the month, the Prophet receiving revelation on the 25th or 27th of the month, Isra wal Mi'raj being on the 27th, and Kondai bread. The second half of the sermon goes into the practice of the righteous Sahaba (followers) did during Rajab in preparation for Ramadan (month of fasting). This lecture took place on the 17th of June 2011 at Aspire Mosque in Qatar.
