KAMAYAN is a FIlipino style traditional way of eating a big feast and sharing with Family or friends. Food are usually served on banana leaves and eaten without utensils. KAMAYAN is simply means (by hand ) and the food are usually just laid out on top of the banana leaves instead of plates. And your eating utensils are your fingers! That means you can’t be on your phone while you eat lol😂 . You have an option for food but usually for Kamayan it’s best to cook anything without liquid. Grilled food or steamed are always the best. My favorite Kamayan is always having a lot of Seafood specially Crabs since it’s my favorite 😋 The recipe down below is what I used for this Kamayan Feast feel free to add more if you want. Filipino Pork belly bbq 2 lbs. Grilled fish (any fish) 4 each Spring rolls as many as you want Filipino Pancit (rice noodle) Corn grilled or boiled (cut each cut in half ) Pineapple 1 each Watermelon 1 each Mango 8 each Okra steamed 1 lbs.
