Downtown Carlisle Mystery Hole Discovered!

While metal detecting in my friend and brother T-Halls yard, I discovered a mysterious underground cave like structure. His stone house was built in the 1700's and there is no written record of what this unusual buried structure might be. An underground bug-out shelter for possible Indian attacks? A pit for water gathered from the roof for unknown reasons? U B the judge!
