Take a deep look at every breath you take!

Breathing is universal and is the way the air is taken into or expelled from the lungs. Understanding how breathing affects each unique individual voice, especially for singing is fundamental in the development of successful frictionless singing

Breath control has always been hard for singers to understand, sometimes incurring through shortness of breath.

Breath control is essential to understand and apply, especially when singing high notes. Your body counteracts the efforts in your neck area (also known as the singing zone). It is essential to grasp the concept, train, develop, and be prepared to apply breath control to the singing zone; otherwise, you will end up singing out of breath.

Singers breathe in so many different ways, and breathing exercises vary depending on the type of breath of the wild array of techniques there are. But for singers to really minimize the struggle, there is a MUST they need to learn.

Singing when there's no breath left is a common way of tiring your voice... Breathe in and try to push the ring outwards. Breathe in through your nose and out through your nose and mouth. Avoid raising your shoulders as you breathe in and add your support so that the rest of the body understands how to apply the necessary control. Keep your shoulders relaxed and level.

Remember that support means a slight push forward as if you were going to pee. The idea is to monitor your breathing, and ensure that you can last through long phrases. Be economical with your breath. Make sure the hiss is consistent; that it is not louder at the beginning than at the end. You are aiming for a smooth, even sound.

Breathing well will support your voice. Singing when there's no breath left is a common way of tiring your voice and getting your neck area tired. Follow the steps below to help improve your breathing.
