The 3rd generation iPad.. dubbed “the new iPad”
Was released in March of 2012 and was replaced only a few months later in November of 2012.
It brought the Retina display to the iPad for the first time, an A5X chip, 1GB of RAM and 16,32 or 64 GB if storage as well as LTE support for the first time.
