MEDIEVAL - Jan Žižka

Here is, probably, the most impressive scene of the movie ''MEDIEVAL'', about the national hero of Czechia, Jan Žižka -  a 14th century Czech icon and warlord who defeated Teutonic Order and Holy Roman Empire armies.
The film is set prior to the Hussite Wars (1419-1434), when Žižka was young. It tells the story of how Žižka became a famous military commander, one of the most successful military leaders of his time, who had never lost a battle.


Jan Žižka was born in the forest under an oak growing just next to the fields and little ponds belonging to the Meierhof. [circa 1360 A.D.]
He died of the plague at Přibyslav on October  11, 1424 on the Moravian frontier.
