In this prototype, I leverage the Meta Shared Spatial Anchor API and Unity NGO to set up a colocated see-through environment.
Setting up a colocated see-through scene for multiple users is more challenging compared to a traditional virtual reality scene. This complexity arises because it's essential to ensure that digital objects and real-world positions are synchronized for all users, providing a smooth user experience despite each application having its own origin.
I'm quite excited for multiuser colocation that will opens the door to many possibilities in developing mixed-reality/AR applications in various fields, such as simulation, digital twin technology, education, gaming, and more.
