Demystifying a routine venipuncture blood draw in slow motion

A few weeks ago, I invited Zoe to sit with me while I had my blood drawn. My goal was to show her that even grown-ups visit the doctor—and sometimes those visits involve needles. I figured if Zoe saw me respond calmly to the "quick pinch" of a venipuncture, she'd learn by example that there's no need to fear a doctor's needle.
