I began with clear goals and a solid plan, understanding that success on YouTube, much like in research, involves a lot of experimentation and perseverance. To increase my chances of success, I started five different channels, each with a unique focus. My goal was to see which channel would gain traction and grow on YouTube. Posting one video per week on each channel, I committed to this process for several months.

One key insight I share is the unpredictable nature of YouTube growth. Unlike a linear progression where more effort directly results in more success, I found that growth often happens suddenly and unexpectedly. This realization led me to the concept of planting multiple seeds and observing which one flourishes, an approach I refer to as increasing my chances for luck to find me.

In my pursuit of understanding how to grow on YouTube, I conducted a thorough "literature review" by analyzing successful and unsuccessful channels. I noticed that many factors influencing a channel's success were beyond the creator's control, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and resilience.

This strategy proved to be the most effective, aligning with the 80/20 principle where 20% of the effort yields 80% of the results. By focusing on genuinely helping my audience, I discovered that this approach not only boosted my channel's growth but also provided a fulfilling and sustainable path forward.
