Rose's Lime Juice / Cordial was created in 1867 and was the world's first fruit concentrate. It was the accessible and necessary sweet fruit preserve of choice by sailors to take their daily dose of vitamin C to fight off scurvy. The Rose's brand isn't readily available in some countries, this DIY Lime Cordial recipe is an excellent substitute and a crucial ingredient in a Gimlet.
