Every year after the result of MDCAT, medical students start asking about the reserved and reciprocal seats in other provinces. All those students who do not manage to secure good marks in the Entry Test try to get admission in government or private medical colleges of other provinces. For that purpose, there is a requirement of domicile. Students can get admission in government medical colleges of their own province only and they are not allowed to directly apply in public sector Medical and Dental Colleges of other provinces because of the limitation of domicile. But they can apply for reserved and reciprocal seats only. On the other hand, there is no requirement of domicile while applying for the private sector Medical and Dental colleges of any province of Pakistan. Students belonging to any province can opt for admission in any private sector Medical and Dental College of Pakistan whichever region it belongs to. This video provides a detailed analysis on this topic. The reciprocal seats available for Punjab domicile students in other provinces are only 14. There is no reserved seat for Punjab students in any government sector Medical and Dental College of Sindh. 5 medical colleges of Balochistan, KPK and Azad Jammu and Kashmir offer for 14 reciprocal seats to Punjab students. Their merits have also been provided in this video.
