This video discusses the pros and cons or advantages and disadvantages of working in the NHS  as overseas Nurse.
Most people have the difficulty choosing to go with NHS employer or private employer, this video will give you some of the advantages and disadvantages.
Whichever organisation you choose there are pros and cons.

The pros include : Job security, personal and career development and progression, par enhancement, generous NHS Pension scheme, sick pay, maternity leave and pay, annual leave and NHS discount.
The cons : Career progression is very competitive, hierarchical systems, work can be stressful, staff can feel overworked, pay not great ,inadequate support in some  Trusts. Please note: majority of NHS Trusts have good support systems for overseas  nurses and newly recruited staff.

NHS Maternity benefit and allowance based on those who qualify for full benefits.
Maternity pay allowance as follows : 8 weeks full pay, 18 weeks half pay + SMP OR MA , 13 weeks SMP or MA then the last 13 weeks  is unpaid.
