Joe Biden on the move with increased security for Northern Ireland trip 🚔 🇺🇸

As President Joe Biden and Rishi Sunak travel by motorcade from the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast to the Ulster University, there is a signicantly increased security presence due to the heightened threat level in Northern Ireland.

The motorcade was far greater in size than trips to other parts of the UK, and when Obama came to Belfast in 2013, while the route was cleared of traffic, and all buildings searched. There was also a notable presence of the iconic Armoured Land Rovers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

The terror threat level was recently raised by the UK Government / MI5 due to increased trouble in the area.

The President gave remarks on the Good Friday Agreement's 25th anniversary in Northern Ireland before heading to the Republic of Ireland.
