How do we teach sight
How do we teach sight words in Montessori? We use the 3-period lesson.
In Montessori training, we often call these puzzle words instead of sight words because figuring out what they say is like solving a puzzle! It's fun when you think about it that way, isn't it?
Our puzzle words are ready to put on the shelf and can be presented in a decorative basket or in one of our cloth pouches (sold separately).
Rotate 10 at a time on your shelf to keep this work fresh, new and constantly in use. Use these after the children have done solid work with the Phonetic Reading Cards and around the same time that they start reading non-phonetic 3-part cards.
These are handmade and eco-laminated in our rural New England strawbale home.
