Dr Bentes holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Culture, with a focus on Brazil’s experience regulating digital media and services. While discussing the specific challenges Brazil faces, they discuss how polarisation impacts the progress of the current legislative proposal, their concerns for freedom of speech in Brazil, and how the country could use the EU’s Digital Services Act as a framework for future policy
