House Proud - celebrating our enduring relationship with the Sydney Opera House

This year marks 50 years since the Sydney Opera House’s opening and 60 years since our firm started operating in Australia. In the early 1950’s, our founder, Sir Ove Arup, was engaged to undertake the structural design of the Sydney Opera House alongside Danish architect Jørn Utzon, establishing our presence in Australasia with our first office on the Opera House site. In our documentary-style film ‘House Proud’, our members celebrate these milestones by sharing their stories and deep care for the Opera House.
