tecno camon 30 is released by tecno as their best budget device just a month ago. Lot of you guys are wondering to buy this device but cannot figure it out that is it worth spending or not. Display:
Tecno camon 30 has 6.78 inches amoled display which has 120 hertz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080p+. It has very small borders around the display and a very small hole punch camera which looks great according to 2 days staccording to today's standards. It's display is very bright and sharp it is easily visible outdoors even in harsh lighting conditions. We can adjust it's refresh rate according to our needs from 60 to 90 and 90 to 120.
Performance:
camon 30 is powered by MediaTek helio g99 ultimate processor which is bundled with 12 GB physical ram which can be extended via software to 18 GB. As we have discussed early that it is featuring 120 had display which feels very smooth and fluid. If we talk about daily routine task this phone can a handle it without any lag. App loading time is bit slower but it gets the job done, if tecno give us 8GB RAM with better processor that could be a better deal.
Design & Build Quality:
Design is the one of my most favourite element in camon 30 as it has very unique looking back with a round camera bump including multiple camera cutouts. It has a flash which has shape like professional camera xenon flash. This phone has a glass back glass front and a plastic frame which has shiny metallic finish . It has more than 200 grams weight which makes it feel very well built. Techno camon 30 has flat display which is very practical and better in terms of durability so this is a plus point that installing screen protector will cost very less and this display will last very long.
Battery life:
Tecno camon 30 has a 5000 mAh battery cell which is good considering today's standards. It supports 70w fast charging when charger is included in the box. On normal temperature it takes around 45 minutes from 0 to 100 battery charge. If temperature is high it can take up to 55 minutes from 0 to 100. In terms of battery life this phone can easily last 7 to 8 hours of screen on time upon normal use while 6 hours screen on time on heavy use and it can offer 4 to 5 hours gameplay on pubg.
Fingerprint:
Camon 30 has under display optical fingerprint scanner its location is a bit lower which makes difficult to reach my thumb, but if we talk about it's working it can unlock phone very quickly so no complains there.
Speakers:
camon 30 has dual stereo speakers one at the bottom and one at the top it also has dolby atmos which makes sound more rich. Speakers sound very loud with good base and clear vocals I have reviewed many devices which are even expensive than this device they offer only a bottom firing speaker but this stereo pair is appreciated considering its price.
Camera:
techno camon 30 camera test shows that it has 50 megapixel main camera with OIS. And a two megapixel depth sensor. It's main 50 megapixel camera takes good shots at 1X with good dynamic range and good colours but beyond 1x HDR seems to fall apart, but it has good zooming capabilities even at 5x its picture are very sharp with good details and good colours. Beyond 5x it takes usable shots. Even at maximum zoom of 10x tecno camon 30 takes usable shots.
Videography:
One of the biggest highlight of tecno camon30 is that it has optical is stabilization which can stabilize shaky hands resulting in smooth stable videos. I have notice that it's ois helps to stabilize footage but it is not as stable as some other flagship devices with optical image stabilization. It has a stabilization mode which only works at 1080p 30fps it is basically EIS which helps to stabilize videos but results in lower quality footage.
