Zenfolio vs Squarespace: Which One Is Best?
Welcome to our comparison of Zenfolio vs Squarespace

So, the main difference between these two is their customization methods.
In terms of design, it is a difficult choice picking between the two platforms; however, Squarespace holds the edge due to its wide selection of templates for photography websites. It also makes it easy for you to adapt the templates for your unique portfolio or brand, and even changing page configurations, colors, and fonts through its visual editor. You can access up to 81 templates, with 12 catering specifically to photography websites.
On the other hand, Zenfolio offers up to 13 templates that each have customizable themes, though not to the same extent as Squarespace. Despite the few themes, it is very easy to customize the font style and color scheme of your website, although you cannot adjust individual page elements – so you cannot change your layout.
Squarespace wins here because it offers better customizations for your entire website, compared to Zenfolio which has an edge in color scheme adjustment.
Premium plans
Zenfolio has three premium plans, with the cheapest plan (Starter) costing $7 monthly. This plan provides the basics, although most features will require you to join a higher-tier plan. Its Pro package costs $28 monthly, and the Advanced plan costs $40 monthly.
Squarespace has four plans that start from $12 monthly (Personal plan). Its $18 monthly Business plan is the most popular, and other plans are the $40 monthly Advanced Commerce and $26 monthly Basic Commerce.
Squarespace is cheaper in the long term, and offers better value for money as each plan includes several benefits.
Sales and image features
Both platforms manage your image uploads very well and help you organize your portfolio. Its simple drop-down menus allow you to add watermarks on your photos, renaming them, and even organizing them into collections. The Squarespace image manager has similar roles, although it adds the ability to apply metadata to your images and adjust the images to the screen your visitors are viewing on.
Squarespace wins due to its inclusion of additional image management features.
Similarities
Both platforms are user-friendly, and they will not require you to have coding skills when building and maintaining your website. They also have a free 14-day trial period that you can use to access their premium features before signing up for a premium plan.
