Bhoutan, le royaume oublié | Routes de l'impossible

“Gross national happiness” is enshrined in the constitution of Bhutan, a small kingdom nestled between India and China, in the heart of the Himalayas. The country, crisscrossed by trails clinging to the top of vertiginous mountains, lives in retreat from globalization and the population is very framed. During the monsoon, travelers have to juggle mud and rockslides, and traffic is often blocked. To remedy these problems, the government has called on the Dankas, who have come from India, who are widening access with explosives and asphalting roads located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters.
