(5 Jun 2018) Prince Akishino, the second son of Japan's Emperor Akihito, and his wife, Princess Kiko, visited the Honolulu Museum of Art on Tuesday during their first official visit together to the US. Princess Kiko, who is reported to be interested in traditional Hawaiian quilts, was seen asking questions about the design and techniques. The Japanese royal couple is in Hawaii this week as part of a year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants arriving in the islands.
