Coca, snow, farlopa, perico... are just a few of the many names for cocaine: a narcotic substance with stimulant effects on the body.
This substance is extracted through a refining process from coca plants, a very popular species in different areas of South America, especially in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Peru.
After these refining processes, a kind of white powder or paste is obtained in pure form but cocaine sold on the street illegally is often mixed by traffickers with other substances that resemble it in appearance such as talcum powder or sugar, or even with other stimulants such as amphetamines or caffeine, leaving finally a cocaine that is called "cut" for having less purity.
