On this Christmas Day of 2020, let us all remember these two athletically talented girls who passed away so tragically. They are remembered.

Two McHenry County Illinois teenagers were killed and two were injured in a crash near Volo in the afternoon of April 21, 2007 as they drove to Kenosha to play in a basketball tournament.

Jenna Gleixner, 16, a junior at Crystal Lake Central High School, and Sarah Kelly, 17, a junior at Johnsburg High School, died at the scene about 2:40 p.m. on Illinois Highway 120 near Fish Lake Road.

All four were wearing seat belts, and Curran said neither drugs nor alcohol was involved.
