The Centenary year of No 60103, Flying Scotsman. Built in 1923 and still running well today. Shown steaming through Ramsbottom Station on the ELR Bury to Rawtenstall line, Saturday 18th March, 2023. A majestic and magnificent machine.
We also had the pleasure of sharing the line with the Lady of Legend.
No 2999, ‘Lady of Legend’ is a 2019 re-creation of the Saint Class locomotive and was 45 years in the restoring! And worth the effort too, its a beautiful steam engine.
Many thanks to the ELR workers and volunteers for making this magnificent spectacle happen.
