Tropical storm Auring, with the
Tropical storm Auring, with the international name Dujuan, may intensify into a severe tropical storm within 48 hours, PAGASA announced in a 5 p.m. video update Thursday.
Auring was estimated at 635 kilometers east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph at 4 p.m. It is moving northwestward at 10 kph.
Rojas said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals may be raised in several areas in Visayas and Mindanao starting Friday. The tropical storm may also make landfall over Caraga area on Sunday morning.
