1.BRUSH YOUR CAT REGULARLY.

If you have a long-haired cat, consider brushing it regularly so it sheds less hair. Some brushes are specially designed to remove dead hair. All the hair that you remove with the brush will help have less hair dispersed in your interior.

Clean and scrub the surfaces several times a week to collect cat hair. You should also cover your pet's favorite resting places with blankets or towels. Remove them and wash them at least once a week to eliminate odors.

2.INVEST IN A POWERFUL VACUUM CLEANER

The more powerful your vacuum cleaner is, the more efficiently it will suck up any hair or litter across the room. If you have a cat, the vacuum cleaner will be your best ally to keep your floor clean.

There are various models specially designed for pet owners. Unfortunately, the vacuum cleaners with lots of power aren't cheap, but it's an investment that will make your life easier.

3.INSTALL A HIGHLY ABSORBENT MAT IN FRONT OF THE FRONT DOOR.

This will allow your companion to wipe his paws before returning home. There are very effective animal rugs. Just stepping on it absorbs moisture.

Goodbye to paw prints throughout the house after a rainy walk or after a swim. If possible, choose a machine washable one and remove it when not used to prevent your cat from lying on it.

4.PREVENT CATS FROM WALKING ON COUNTERTOPS BY CLEANING THEM WITH A MIXTURE OF VINEGAR AND LEMON JUICE.

The smell will repel cats. You will also prevent pests from depositing dirt and bacteria where you prepare food, and you will have less hair in the kitchen. Sanitize your countertops often if you can't keep cats away from them.

5.KEEP AMMONIA-FREE CLEANERS ON HAND. THIS WILL MINIMIZE THE SMELL OF CAT URINE.

Even the cleanest cat will occasionally urinate outside of the litter box. Ammonia cleaners smell like cat urine, and this can encourage the animal to re-mark its territory.

6.REGULARLY VENTILATE YOUR HOME.

Getting the air around your home is a great way to keep it cleaner and prevent foul odors. This can only happen if you leave your windows open to allow free circulation of air.

7.USE DEODORANTS.

To have a home that smells clean and fresh, consider using air fresheners. There are organic deodorants out there, but you can also make one yourself or invest in an essential oil diffuser.

8.BUY A ROBOT VACUUM.

A good vacuum cleaner allows effective cleaning, but it is still necessary to pass it every day to avoid forming a pile of hair or litter on your floor.

The significant advantage of the robot vacuum cleaner is that it cleans itself! It will allow you to space the uses of the manual vacuum cleaner. Again, it is better to opt for a model robust enough and efficient for more efficiency. I promise, I’m not sponsored by any robot vacuuming company, but having a robot vacuum cleaner has helped me a lot throughout the years.

9.ESTABLISH CAT-FREE ZONES.

Although many pet lovers like to share a bed, it is not a bad idea to restrict access to some key areas of the house. Close the doors to bedrooms or other rooms to prevent cat hair from covering the entire house.

This practice will decrease the number of clothes you need to wash and minimize the risk of urine stains in certain parts of the house.

10.BE CAREFUL WITH THE CAT LITTER BOX.

Clean it daily and sanitize the entire box once a week. Scoop out the sand, pour in half an inch (1.3 cm) of vinegar, leave it for 10 minutes, then remove it and wait for the box to dry. To control odor, pour half a cup of baking soda into the container's bottom before refilling it with sand.

IN CONCLUSION,

Whether you keep your cats primarily indoors or outdoors, your home probably needs extra care and attention to keep it clean of cat smells, hair, and stains. Keeping an eye on them seems like a daunting task, but owners of these pets can use the above various cleaning practices to reduce cat litter.
