LUMABAS NA- ABS CBN FRANCHISE INITIAL VOTING 57-25

ABS-CBN is unlikely to have its congressional franchised renewed, according to documents obtained by The Manila Times.

In a report titled "ABS-CBN Doomed," the paper revealed the initial tally of votes in the House showed that "No" has the majority with 57 votes against the franchise renewal. Only 25 voted "Yes", and 10 voted "Unsure."

A total of 92 congressman will vote on the matter, with 46 coming from the Committee on Legislative Franchises, and the remaining 46 coming from House leaders and ex-officio members.
