"This workshop will draw on the extensive experience of CRS' emergency response and recovery specialists working in the Middle East and Pakistan, its Senior Communications Manager, and Professor Frank Galgano (Geography/Environment) to better understand natural and politically-based disasters and the complex, and sometimes competing, roles of the responders. Professors Jordan Ermilio (Engineering) and Seth Whidden (French/Francophone Studies) will share their experience and learning outcomes from a joint VU/CRS project responding to Haiti's urgent water and sanitation needs."
