Ana Roš is one of the world's most profiled female chefs. Together with her husband, Valter Kramar, who is a sommelier, she runs the award-winning restaurant Hiša Franko. Located in the Slovenian mountain village of Kobarid on the border of Italy, this modern eatery with roots in local traditions is worth a trip alone to Slovenia. The restaurant is currently no. 48 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants-list and was also dedicated an episode of its own in the wildly popular Netflix series Chef's Table. In this portrait, chef Roš talks about her restaurant and what inspires her in her cooking – explaining how some of her signature dishes came to be.
