Wrist CT: Hook of Hamate Fracture

A 30 something male punched an object about a month prior to evaluation. He presented with worsening right hand pain and swelling. CT showed vertical hamate fracture in the coronal plane with anterior and posterior dislocation of  fragments. Fracture through base of the fourth and fifth metacarpal. The bases of these metacarpals are situated between the bony fragments of the hamate. Nondisplaced fracture of the lunate. Nondisplaced fracture of the trapezium. Volar dislocation of the triquetrum. Massive soft tissue swelling.
