By making this prototype clamp
By making this prototype clamp for the workshop, I now have a quick release clamp for holding things in place. I'll call it “the stretchy clamp”. This wooden spring clamp can hold pieces together from 1 to 90 cm. As a clamping mechanism for this woodworking jigs, I used a spring from an old fitness device. Watch this video to see how I made this DIY clamp and added some improvements after a first test. You can make a clamp like this yourself easily thanks to the free plans that I offer on my website.
