The Prius V is a larger version of the regular Prius. The 2012 Toyota Prius V hybrid comes in 3 different trim levels: the Two, the Three, and the Five. Base price is $26,400 and the top of the line Prius V Five costs $29,990.
The interior of the 2012 Prius V hybrid has been updated and you get a more posh feel. But the Prius V does still have some of the stuff from the regular model like the Push Button Start and the shifter. One thing that is new and cool is the control for the heating and air conditioning system. The 2012 Toyota Prius V is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine mated to Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive. With the combination of the gas engine and the electric motor the Prius V can pump out 134 horsepower. Fuel economy ratings are 44 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway.
From a drivers perspective the 2012 Toyota Prius V behaves a lot like the regular Prius. This hybrid car is very versatile and efficient vehicle. It is a perfect extension of the regular car. The PriusV hybrid has as much cargo room as the Ford Escape Hybrid yet it gets much better fuel economy.
