This is the first episode
This is the first episode of the Occitan class I created. This is especially designed for beginners wishing to learn Occitan.
The dialect I speak is Central Lengadocian.
I made this series of videos for fun and on my free time. It obviously does not claim to cover all facets of the Occitan language (different accents, particularisms, pronunciation...) but it will serve as a learning base for all those who wish to know more about this beautiful language.

My name is Gabrièu, I was born in NIce in 1998 and I make video in my language: Occitan !

ℹ️ GENERAL INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE LANGUAGE
Occitan, also known as lenga d'òc by its native speakers, is a Romance language spoken in Southern France, Monaco, Italy's Occitan Valleys, as well as Spain's Val d'Aran where it is an official language. Collectively, these regions are sometimes referred to as Occitania.
Occitan is fundamentally defined by its six great dialects: Gascon, Auvernhat, Lemosin, Lengadocian, Provençal and Vivaro-Alpine.
Since I was born in Nice I am able to speak both Nissart Occitan (a branch of Provençal spoken in my family) and Leangadocian Occitan (the most standardized form).
