Movement #3 - "THE BLUE DEVIL"
Brief History - The Blue/Red Devils are among the most vibrant and energetic traditional characters seen during Carnival in Trinidad and other Caribbean Islands. The Blue Devil or Red Devil are seen at the largest street party called J'ouvert, which starts before dawn and peaks hours after sunrise. Part of the Blue Devil Tradition is smearing paint, mud or oil on participants, causing a disturbance through the capital cities, using forks, chains, whistles, iron and tins to play rhythmic sounds, as they parade through the streets.
