From the series of Monuments of India presenting Bodh Gaya Bodh Gaya, the most important pilgrimage for Buddhists and  has been declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

It is one of the four most important sites related to the life of Gautam Buddha (Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sarnath being the other three).
